Problem:

During or upon setting up a  two way mirror job I receive the following error:
System Time Difference of ("xxx") millieseconds exceeds max allowed of (10000). Jobs cannot be accepted

Solution:

This message indicates that there is a significant time difference between your two servers.  The larger the time difference there is the more chances of inadvertant data loss will occur.  We strongly recommend synchronizing the time on all servers with the same NTP server.  We also recommend utilizing a third party application for NTP synchronization for Windows operating systems.

If you must reconfigure the FRP environment, the default time difference limitations can be changed, however we strongly advise doing this as a last resort.  Synchronizing servers to the same NTP server is the best solution.  If you are sure it is sage to increase (or decrease) the time difference validation settings you can do this by performing the following steps:

  1. Log in to Configuration Management Server
  2. Go to Server Overview screen
  3. Select server and choose Edit Server Settings
  4. Select Advanced Settings

Below are the relevant settings on that screen:
    Two- Way Replication Parameters

Maximum allowed time sync differential (Ms)
     Enforce two-way mirror time synchronization
  5. Set that parameter to match your environment.
