There are three programs or Windows Services that are created when FileReplicationPro is installed. Depending on the installation one or all three will be running.

These programs or Windows services are:

1) FRP Config Mgmt Server
This service runs the webs server allowing you to use your browser to setup servers, configure and maintain jobs, view logs, setup alerts and general operation maintenance. This service should only be running on ONE server. All other replication servers should not be running this service. This service runs on port 9100 and the other servers should have access to this port.

Note: The configuration server also operates a broadcast (UDP) on port 9110, used to discover other FRP servers on a LAN.

2) FRP Helper Service
This service ensures that only one Configuration Management Server is running in the network. If you try to run another configuration server service, this service will flag the error.

Note: Wait 1-2 minutes after stopping the FRP Config Mgmt Server before re-starting it again so that the helper service will not produce an error.

3) FRP Replication Server
This is the service that actually performs the replication. It operates on port 9200.

If needed, see manually Creating FRP Windows Services when the services are needed to be changed in a role change of the server or if the installation was done via the command line option.

To test that the Replication Server is running, address your browser to the IP address of the server on port 9200. Type in the address line - http://hostname:9200 or use an IP address i.e. http://192.178.2.25:9200 The browser should respond with a web page that says something like: “FRP Node Ready F4A9EBF0CD4B63 OK”
