On rare occasions a customer needs to create windows services for FRP.  This can be the result of a role change for the server from Replication only to Management and Replication or in the case of a command line install of FRP where the services were not created which are needed to start FRP at boot time.

We have assembled the tools and instructions with screenshots that you will need to create these services.   You can download them as a zip file at the bottom of this page.

Enclosed in this zip are screenshots of how to set up the services for FileReplicationPro.

Remember that you will only be setting up ONE and ONLY ONE server with all three services FRPRep, FRPHelp and FRPMgmt

ALL other servers, no matter how many  MUST be set up only at FRPRep  Replication Servers.

We have included a GUI program for creating, editing and deleting services in Windows x32 and x64 machines.  As always, be very careful using a tool like this.  The program use is self evident, and the screenshots we have provided give you all the information you need to use the GUI tool or if you prefer you can use the information in the screenshots with the Windows Program SC.exe to create the services on the command line.

For more information on the windows program SC.exe see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/251192

For more information on the program Service Manager which is included with this zip,  open the included HTML file.
