Problem:

I may have partial or no connectivity to port 9100. What are the ramifications?

Solution:

Minimum requirements for FRP to run properly include 2 way communication over port 9100.  This port allows the configuration manager to update the configuration.xml file from the management server to the remaining FRP servers. The configuration.xml file contains server and job definitions (it should never be manualy edited).

In the event this is temporarily disabled there are possible temporary work arounds.
If you have only 1-way (management server to FRP servers) communications, you can still add/edit jobs but will loose the following features:
1. Delivery of Logs
2. Delivery of Online/Offline status
3. Delivery of live status message

If you have no communications on port 9100, you can add/edit a job but will need to manally distribute the configuration.xml file manually to all your FRP servers. To do this, perform the following steps on all your servers:
1. Stop the FRP replication service.
2. Copy the configuration.xml file from the management server to the other FRP servers.
3. Start the FRP replication service.
