Problem:

How does FRP handle replicating UNIX/Linux permissions?



Solution:

FRP copies the standard file permissions bits: rwxd for owner, group and others.
FRP copies the file's special flags: set user/group id and sticky bit.
FRP attempts to set on the destination side, the file owner and group using the account and group names. To achieve this, the account and group names need to exist on the destination side.
