Question:  What occurs in situations where file replication is performed between two separate environments that do not have the same user rights and permissions including POSIX and ACL rights?

Answer:
a. The default settings of FRP is to grant the parent folder user rights to all files being replicated if the user in the destination does not exist.  If the user settings in the destination are the same as the source than all user rights, ACL and POSIX settings will be replicated in identical form.

Setting Default File Permissions
b. User settings at the destination can be globally overridden.  As of version 5.1.4 a default user rights settings can be set by simply creating an empty file named default.permissions in the /FileReplicationPro/etc directory.  Granting user rights and permissions to this file will establish the user rights and permission settings for all files being replicated to the destination.
