Starting FRP Management Server

NOTE:  Choose only one machine to be the management server.

To start the FileReplicationPro Management Server application:

Windows:

Start the “FRP Helper Service” Service.
Then start the “FRP Config Mgmt Server” Service

 Linux / Unix / Solaris / HPUX:

Execute:

Cd  /root/FileReplicationPro  (or the installation directory you chose)

nohup ./FRPHelp &
nohup ./FRPMgmt &

Make sure you are running with admin privileges.  In some cases (such as Ubuntu) you’ll need to execute Sudo as described above.

 Mac OS X:

In the “Applications/FileReplicationPro” directory

Execute the following commands in the order listed below:

  1. “sudo systemstarter start FRPHelper”
  2. “sudo systemstarter start FRPMgmt”

 Netware:

Execute “sys:/filereplicationpro/frphelp.ncf”
Then execute “sys:/filereplicationpro/frpmgmt.ncf”

 

Note:  To see if the FRP processes are running without using the Management Console, please use the FRP network utility that is included in the installation.  For details on how to use it please refer to the knowledge base article .
